It's the USS Arizona a sunken battleship in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It was the first and largest sunk by the Japanese unprovoked attack on a peaceful US Navy on December, 7, 1941. This was the start of the Second World War and ultimate defeat of the Japanese via two atomic bombs.





I was 10 years old at the time. There was no television, but we all had a radio. There are so many sources of information, but probably the best one is the Arizona Memorial.
